Brian Robinson shot in attempted robbery, Washington Commanders, reaction, report

NBC Washington and multiple reports have reported that rookie running back Bryan Robinson was shot multiple times as part of an attempted robbery.

The rookie was the victim of an attempted carjacking and was hospitalized and is said to be in good condition.

At least two shots struck Robinson in the lower body, according to the NFL Network. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Robinson, 23, a star at Alabama, was selected by Washington in the third round of this year’s NFL draft and is expected to share the backfield with Antonio Gibson and JD McKisic this season.

In his senior season, Robinson rushed for 1,343 yards and scored 16 total touchdowns for the Crimson Tide.
