Cameron Ciraldo Bulldogs appointment, Phil Gould Bulldogs, secret meeting, Viliame Kikau photo leak, Matt Burton contract extension

The Bulldogs supremo had no chance as he held secret meetings with Cameron Ciraldo – temporarily turning off the CCTV cameras as the Panthers assistant entered the building.

According to SMH’s Danny Wedler, Gould went to incredible lengths to hide meetings between Ciraldo and the Bulldogs’ power brokers in a bid to celebrate the 37-year-old’s status at the Penrith club.

Canterbury-Bankstown officials were outraged and embarrassed when a photo of William Kikau, accompanied by former coach Trent Barrett and Gould, was leaked.

The most famous photo of Kikau wearing a Bulldogs polo emerged when Canterbury Leagues club staff had access to CCTV footage – and now Gould is taking no chances.

“He was a rogue security guard,” Gold said on the ninth episode of 100% Foot.

“We took some pictures of him in the shirt because he’s going to the World Cup at the end of the year and we won’t see him until January and we wanted something to promote.”

Ciraldo was reportedly grateful that the meetings had been kept quiet – and Gould repeatedly bombarded the question while working on Channel Nine’s 100% Foot.

Ciraldo’s signing is said to be instrumental in extending the contract of superstar player Matt Burton.

The 22-year-old player has been offered a maximum of $3.5 million for four years and will remain at the club until the end of 2027.

“Obviously, Matt has a strong history with Cami. Gus and Cam are going to start talking to Matt, and I’m sure they can work something out,” Bulldogs head sponsor Craig Laundy said on SN.

“Matt is a superstar. We knew it was him, which is why we were so eager to sign him. That’s the next part, the trainer part of the puzzle is now done.
