Cameron Munster elbows Sam Walker, video, reaction, Melbourne Storm, charges, Lindsay Collins suspension

Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster has come under NRL scrutiny after he missed a charge despite elbowing Roosters player Sam Walker on Friday night.

Four players have been charged in Friday’s fiery 18-14 away win over Provinces.

It cost him, though, when Victor Radley hit a sick head injury, while Lindsay Collins was also handed a four-week suspension for dangerous contact.

Radley, Jared Warea-Hargreaves and Nelson Asofa-Solomona were charged, although it could be argued that Munster should have joined them.

Roosters half-back Walker appeared to be in the face after the Melbourne five-eighth was tackled following a lineout in the 65th minute.

The incident saw Roster fans erupt in stadiums and on social media, but he went unpunished.

This happened after Waerea-Hargreaves was arrested for the attack on Asofa-Solomona which all the spectators said was legal.

Veteran rugby league reporter Brent Munster has not completely escaped scrutiny from the NRL, he revealed on Triple M.

“Cameron Munster has been put on notice for an elbow injury on Sammy Walker, so that’s a bit of a worry for Cammy Munster,” Read said.

“I mean, they’re going to keep an eye on Cam, he’s going to be right.”

It means Munster will play Parramatta in Melbourne next week in the final round, with the winner taking the last place in the last four.

Munster is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career but could not rest the fatal blow to his roster on Friday night.
