Constellation Cup netball fixtures, Australia vs New Zealand, England, dates, venues

The Diamonds will play seven Tests over three weeks in the autumn, with the Australian men’s team taking on their women’s counterparts in a double-header.

In what will be a mouth-watering month for netball, Australia will take on the Silver Ferns to kick off this year’s Stars Cup.

They face New Zealand in Auckland on October 12, before supporting them in Tauranga at the weekend on October 16.

The trans-Tasman rivals will meet twice in Australia, first in Melbourne on 19 October and then in Gold Coast on 23 October to wrap up the series.

The Diamonds will play three Tests against England in eight days, in Newcastle on October 26, then in Sydney on October 30 before concluding the series in Brisbane on November 3.

The Australian men’s team will play Diamond twice, first in Melbourne on 19 October and then against England in Sydney on 30 October. A third match against New Zealand is scheduled for October 12 in Auckland.

Netball Australia chief executive Kelly Ryan said the match was a historic moment for the sport.

“This is a historic announcement for our sport, marking the first time an Australian men’s team has played against the Australian diamond,” Ryan said.

“This forms part of our commitment to growing the game for boys and girls and making our sport inclusive for everyone. We are delighted to be working with the Australian Boys and Mixed Netball Association to showcase this country’s best male netball players and hopefully inspire the next generation of boys and girls to pick up netball.” .

“In almost three years, we can’t wait to see the Diamonds playing on home soil and watching stadiums in Victoria, Queensland and NSW.”
