Deschamps confident Mbappe is fit enough to face Croatia

Kylian Mbabane must qualify for Monday’s French National League clash with Croatia, says Didier Deshamp.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was sent off at the Stade de France earlier this month in a 2-1 defeat to Les Bleus in Denmark.

Mbabane appeared to be recovering from a hamstring injury after playing a pass to Aurelin Chauameni.

France scored the equalizer against Austria before coming off the bench in their next match against Croatia.

Deschamp Mbabane is unsure of how long he will be playing on Monday, but he is expected to compete for a part.

Asked if Mbabane was qualified, Deshamps told reporters: “Yes, he said, although he still feels bad.

“At the beginning of the week, he was much less comfortable than he used to be.

“He was ready to do half an hour [against Austria], Was planned. He practiced his knees in a comfortable position.

We are doing everything possible to be there tomorrow.

Another French striker is Antoine Griezmann.

The 31-year-old, who spent this season on loan at Atletico Madrid, has been linked with a move away from the club. After making his debut in 2022, he scored no goals for either club or country. January 6 in a Copa del Rey win over Rajo Majadahonda.

He scored his last goal for Les Bleus in an 8-0 win over Kazakhstan two months ago.

Despite their struggles, Deschamps said he and his team have confidence in the man who played a key role in the 2018 World Cup success.

“We’ve all had some important moments when confidence has been low,” Deshamps added.

“For Antoine, space is not a question. I have confidence in him, the team has it, he is not in a position to do it but this can happen to anyone.

On the first day of the match, they lost to Denmark and drew with Croatia and Austria.
