BBL Draft Live: The biggest overseas guns in Australian cricket history are up for selection.

The draft will be held in four rounds and the Melbourne Renegades will pick first by winning the draft lottery.

Teams are required to make at least two selections, but a maximum of three.

Teams can also go through rounds, but at the end of the third round they must make at least one selection, and in the second round they must also make two selections.

Another issue for teams to consider is whether or not to retain one of their stars from last season.

Teams will have one retention pick to use in the draft, but may not use the retention pick in the round after selecting a different player in a round.

There is no scope for teams to trade picks, but it could be something new to implement in future drafts.

Another thing that all teams have to consider is how long a player will last.

A number of international stars are planning to take part in overlapping T20 tournaments abroad, meaning they will not be able to play for the entire BBL season.
