Rossoneri midfielder Brahim Diaz says Zlatan Ibrahimovic is “like a father” in Milan’s dressing room.
The 40-year-old striker made just 12 appearances in all competitions for Stefano Pioli’s side in the 2021-22 season, ending Milan’s first Serie A title in 11 years.
Ibrahimovic has been out of action for eight months since undergoing surgery on his left knee last month, with his contract set to expire at the end of June and his future on the air.
Diaz, who is on loan at Real Madrid from San Siro, has praised Milan’s recent success and said he will improve those around him.

Speaking at the awards ceremony in Marca, Diaz said: “Ibrahimovic is my father’s age, but it still makes a difference. To me, he is like a father in a closet.
“He made life easier for me because when I catch the ball, I have to give it to him and he doesn’t get angry if I don’t say it.
“He is an incredible player who loves to play with great respect and win.
“He likes to work on training and pass it on to others. He always pushes you to give your best and makes all the players better.
Diaz has scored four goals in 40 games in all competitions this season.
