“We have been talking to Jordan for a long time, and he understands the seriousness of the situation.”

The club have also confirmed that De Goy will continue to follow the advice he started at the start of the season following his defeat at the hands of New York while striving for better off-field behavior.

It also teaches more about the behavior.

“While we do not accept his behavior, we will continue to provide professional and personal support for Jordan to continue to live and to show our values at Collingwood,” Anderson said.

“Finally, I would like to reiterate that our club has very strong values, which are to respect respect, tolerance and irresponsible behavior. We expect everyone in our club to respect these values without compromise.

“I apologize to Collingwood Football Club, its members, supporters and the entire community for my actions in Bali and I accept full responsibility for my actions,” de Goy said.

“The actions in the video are disrespectful and I admit that the club has betrayed my trust by taking me on holiday abroad in the middle of the season.

“As an AFL player, I fully accept that I have a unique leadership role in the community and that responsibility comes with that role.

“My actions as a person, as an AFL player and as a representative of Collingwood Football Club, fall short of expectations.

I have worked hard this year to build my faith and trust in a better decision and I have put that trust in no one but myself.

“Late last year I was diagnosed with ADHD and I am trying to find out more about why I work. I made a mistake again – this is an ongoing journey for me – and I am absolutely committed to change.

“I need more support to take appropriate and necessary steps to learn and improve as a person.

“I apologize again for the disrespect. I realize that I have left many people behind and that I have a lot of work to do to rebuild faith.

“I am determined to be the best person I can be and I believe my best chance is to have the support of my teammates and the club.”

The arrival of the Magpies’ young guns, Jack Ginnivan and Isaac Quinor, shows the couple in the Tikitok video on Monday.
