North Melbourne will have a chance to let his footy do the talking after a busy week, with interim coach Leigh Adams leading the Roos against Richmond.

The Kangaroos (1-15, 51.7%) this week sacked coach David Noble after 38 games, with VFL coach – and former Roos midfielder – Adams taking over until the end of the season.

The Tigers (9-7, 116.4%), who must continue to win to maintain their spot in the top eight, know the dangers of a team playing under an interim coach in the top four for the first time. The last five interim coaches have won first. They were Mark McVeigh (GWS Giants), Rhyce Shaw (North Melbourne), David Teague (Carlton) and Brett Ratten (St Kilda).
