Two minutes later, Villa was completely taken aback by Rodri’s long-range equalizer.

When the supporters wanted their team, the decibel level around Etihad suddenly increased more than ever.

If there had been a roof over the stadium, Gundogan would have scored in the 81st minute and scored the second goal of the game to seal the return of Pep Guardiola’s side.

He was praised by his Spanish team-mates for their performances, as they remain top of the Premier League.

“They will be remembered forever.”

Ten years ago, City won the Premier League title for the first time in their history.

Edin Dzeko appeared in the 92nd minute and then came one of the most dramatic moments in Premier League history.

You can hear Martin Tyler’s famous call of the season in your head: “Balotelli… Aguerooooo!”

People jumped on the bandwagon and eventually broke City’s three-goal lead, and school-age children got involved.

However, Villa manager Steven Gerrard said goalkeeper Robin Olson had been attacked during the attack.

City have apologized to Olsen in a club statement and have confirmed that they will suspend the attack on the Swede for life.

“Manchester City would like to sincerely apologize to Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen for the attack on his supporters during today’s game,” the statement read.

“The club has launched an immediate investigation and once it is known, the person responsible will be suspended for an indefinite period of time.”

The attack on Olson has a bitter taste in the mouths of football fans, but it does little to disrupt celebrations across Manchester in the coming days.

But what did he say to Guardiola after the party?

“Golf now! I need it!”
