Nikita Tszyu vs Ben Horn, live stream, updates, results, start time, full card, how to watch, Justin Hodges, Sam Goodman, highlights

Welcome to Battle of the Brothers live as Nikita Tsiyu takes on Ben Horn. Live coverage from 7pm AEST.

Tim Tziou believes his brother Nikita will be a great fit for Ben Horn (4-4), but warns the rising star not to be in a hurry.

Nikita (2-0, 2KOs) returns under the bright lights at the Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday night and will rarely be short on opportunities.

The 24-year-old is an impressively short $1.02 favourite, while Horn – brother of former world champion Jeff – is the long $12 outsider.

The incredible boxing odds have some worried about the potential punishment for Horn.

But Tsiyu is not one of them.

“I can’t worry about him (Horn),” Tim Tsiu said.

“I’m taking care of my brother more, and I know he’s going to get the job done.”

On Tuesday, Tsiyu went through his opening two professional bouts and expressed his desire to stop the fight before the referee.

“I’d really like to knock a silencer somewhere that feels like a punch,” he said after the weigh-in on Tuesday.

“The first two fights I had the referee stop and honestly I felt it was an early stoppage. But the referee is doing his job.

“I want to produce those wrecking balls that put people to sleep.”

But his older brother Tim Nikita, who faces Jermael Charlon on January 29, has warned him not to open up to his opponent.

“It’s all about patience, not running to the bullet,” Tim Tsiou told Fox Sports News on Wednesday.

“I think Horney is going to try and get him in.

“Be patient, comfortable, relaxed with Nikita in the small beginnings that he will be, and then take him out when the lights seem to be going out.”

Asked by Melbourne radio station SEN what to expect from the powerful Nikita, Tsiyu said: “Nikita is going to do damage, let’s just say.

“Nikita, he’s a mess. He likes to get dirty.”

Meanwhile, Tim Tsiu said everything was going according to plan after undergoing surgery on his hands in May and he was on track for the World Cup in January.

The Australian boxing sensation says he’s going through a “strength training” block and is hitting back.

He will go through one of the longest training camps of his career before starting his career-defining fight in the United States early next year.

Tsiyu leaves no stone unturned as he heads to Las Vegas to complete his training program for the year.

Asked why he’s spending the better part of two months in the world’s boxing mecca, Tsiyu said he’ll prepare well after building a “rush” ahead of his win over Terrell Gausha.

“I just want sparring, the facilities I need, just to get in the zone and get away from everything, and just focus on one thing and come back as the undisputed world champion,” he said.

Tragic past: ‘I don’t like to talk about it’ – Boxing star never forgets

Weight: Hodges makes bold claim for ‘giant’ rival as star’s surprise appearance surprises

Hodges is ready to welcome Simi to boxing 02:54

Meanwhile, former NRL star Justin Hodges will take on social media personality Jordan Simi tomorrow, 8kg lighter than his rival, who cut a terrifying figure at the weigh-in on Tuesday.

The pair traded vicious verbal barbs at Monday’s press conference, but were happy to shake hands at the weigh-in – although come Wednesday, there’s no doubt the fists will be well and truly flying.

Simi weighed in at 109.22kg for his heavyweight competition before declaring: “I’m going for the competition. We are both overweight. Justin said yesterday someone was beating me so I’m focused on that.

Hodges was very light at 101.90 kg. He said: “I don’t worry about what’s on the line… it’s a new challenge, that’s why I got into the sport – to challenge myself.”

The Maroons great is hoping to fight Paul Gallen if he does business with Simi.
