Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Marcelo following his departure from Real Madrid.
Marcelo has spent 15 years and won 25 trophies and held an emotional news conference in Madrid on Monday – making him the club’s all-time leading scorer.
Much of that success came with Ronaldo, and the pair on the left formed a crucial relationship during the club’s dominance in the Champions League.
That magic saw Ronaldo as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer before moving to Juventus and now Manchester United, and the Portuguese great still honors his former team-mate.

“More than a teammate, the brother who gave me football,” he posted on social media.
“One of the biggest stars I enjoyed sharing the locker room on and off the field.
“Take everything with you on this new adventure, Marcelo!”
Marcelo, 34, has made it clear that he has no plans to retire and that he will not have any problems with Real Madrid.
“I’m not retired, not now,” he said. I still feel like I can play. Facing Real Madrid will not be a problem. I am a big madridist but I am also a big professional.
