Shattered NSW Blues players, Ben Elias, QLD Maroons, Game three, decider

NSW senior Benny Elias said Blues players were apologizing to him, the state’s other legend and their heart-breaking 22-10 series to decide on a loss to Queensland Origins III.

After centuries of physical competition at the Suncorp Stadium, the Blues gave their all to the players in the most difficult of times to make up for their brutal losses.

Speaking on the Fox League podcast, Elias took us to the broken blue dressing room and how the players suffered a concussion.

“After the game, I went into the dressing room and they were suspicious,” Elias said.

“It was a tragedy. The players came to me and said, “I’m sorry, Benny, I’m sorry, my friend.”

“I said, ‘Why are you sad?’ What did I say? Be very proud.

“They made us proud. We won. It is not the end of the world. They made us proud. ”

Elias encouraged the worried Blues players to calm down and prepare for next year’s series in Queensland.

“Just tell them, remember the damage in 12 months,” said Elijah.

That is all we can do because we have learned this.
