South Sydney star Damien Cook is chasing a three-year extension to the club until the end of 2026.
Cook, 31, has a contract until the end of next season and Adam Reynolds found himself in a similar performance with the Rabbitohs last year.
Southampton have refused to offer the Reynolds more than a 12-month extension and have seen the Premier League winner’s half-back sign with the Broncos on a three-year deal.

Reynolds helped Brisbane – the 2020 wooden spoons – and the club finished fifth after 15 rounds.
South Reynolds’ handling of the situation has been described as “one of the biggest recruitment errors in recent memory” and Benji Marshall said last week the club could not make the same mistake against Cook.
Cook has 18 months left on a $ 4.5 million five-year contract and wants to finish his job at Redfried.
Prostitute has played every game for NSW since 2018, and has made four appearances for Australia.
Cook was surprised when he won the Blues’ Marons on Sunday night and told the Fox League podcast that he had begun negotiations with Rabitohs.
“I want to finish my career here and I feel like I can play up to 35 or 36. I would love it for three years and I would just leave it after that to finish with South Sydney,” Cook told the Fox League. Podcast

Cook first started at the age of 22 and later became a NRL student who did not attend first grade until he was 25.
