As they often do, the panel pulled up old clips to poke fun at each other, but it was Watson’s clip that stirred the pot.
The footage shows Watson hosting on Channel 7 and completely blanking on behalf of Melbourne coach Greg Hutchinson.
“We’ll meet with the Demons coach when we come back nice after the break…” Watson says as he struggles to remember his name before looking at his paperwork which doesn’t seem to help him. The program plays an external banner before going to a commercial break.
The footage was replayed on the show as part of Nathan Brown’s weekly quiz and Jones never missed an opportunity to take a jab at Watson.
The feud between the pair began last year when Jones asked, “Who?” Before he said that, Watson’s photo was shown.
That coup led to Watson.
Watson, who works with Gary Lyon at SEN, was told of the footage by a colleague and left reeling.
What did Tony do? Did you play?” Watson said.
Jones was not happy with Watson’s response and quickly fired back at the former Essendon superstar.
“The teeth might need a little work but the hair might not… If that’s a toupee I want my money back.
“Gary Lyon has got to be the biggest (s***) trigger at the moment. By the way, the tape we played that we won’t play again.
