Gordon Tallis has criticized Roosters coach Trent Robinson after defending Jared Warea-Hargreaves only to refuse to answer a question about Lindsay Collins’ hip drop.
Waerea-Hargreaves was twice reported and sin-binned, but was saved by Robinson.
However, he refused to draw on Collins’ hip drop addition against Tom Eisenhut, which could have earned him a suspension.

“I can’t say much about that?” Robinson said.
“It’s not for me to come in.”
Tallis accused Robinson of a simple question that he found strange for a man with so many opinions in rugby league.
“It was a little weird when Lara (Pitt) asked him about the hip drop,” Tallis said.
“I talk to Trent on the radio and he always has an opinion on a lot of things that are going on.
“It was a simple question. Yes, he has nothing to worry about or anything to worry about.
“It’s as simple as that. He saw it.
“It was very strange as a coach because he normally has an opinion on everything.
“He had an opinion on the Manly jerseys. He has an opinion on everything and then chooses to remain silent.

“(Patrick) Carrigan, I thought it was a fair question about what happened and what’s going on, and Lara Pitt is doing her job and she asks, what do you think about the problem?”
“He had something to say about Jared’s (Warea-Hargreaves) fight. And this was another solution.
“It’s just a treat in the game. A little weird.”

“They had to do it very hard at certain stages.
“It would have been very easy for Robo to go into that press conference and be good with the way the team has performed.
“This is their seventh win in a row and they have continued their points streak with the eighth.
“He walked in there and had a steely look in his eyes.
“They are on a mission. This is their seventh win in a row. They are very real where they are on the football side.
“This is similar to what we’ve seen from Robo. There is a belief in this team that they can climb a place in this competition and it showed again tonight and they had to work hard at different levels.
